A "Unite the Right" rally was planned for Friday, August 11 to protest against the removal of a statue of Confederate icon General Robert E Lee. Protestors came from all walks of life to protest this event. The peaceful protest then turned violent. A man drove his car into the crowd resulting in 1 death and many people suffered injuries.
