Our ability to get around - as well as the modes by which we do so - have a major impact on our health. Transportation policy is health policy. It can increase or decrease our ability to get to the doctor or access healthy foods. It can also increase or decrease asthma caused by air pollution, injuries caused by traffic accidents, or adverse health effects from sedentary lifestyles. In this episode, we ride along with two bicycle commuters (Selam and Darius) and then head to the studio where we speak with Vayong Moua, Health Equity Advocacy Director at the Center for Prevention at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
