Description

A U.S. woman, her Canadian husband and their three children have been released after being held in captivity by the Taliban for five years. Caitlan Coleman was pregnant when she was abducted while traveling in Afghanistan with her husband, Joshua Boyle, in 2012. The couple had three children while in captivity. "Yesterday, the United States government, working in conjunction with the Government of Pakistan, secured the release of the Boyle-Coleman family from captivity in Pakistan," President Trump said in a statement. "Today they are free." The family was released following an exchange between Pakistani troops and U.S. commandos in a secret operation, intelligence officials said. – ABC President Trump on Wednesday said he wants the U.S. nuclear arsenal to be in "tip-top shape," but he does not see a need to increase the stockpile. The comments follow an NBC News report indicating Trump had hoped to expand the country's nuclear arsenal "ten-fold." Secretary of Defense James Mattis called the report "erroneous" and "irresponsible."
