I know many people who spend a great deal of their time complaining that they can’t find the perfect person.
Eu conheço muitas pessoas que passam grande parte de seu tempo reclamando que não conseguem encontrar a pessoa perfeita.
Maybe the reason why they still haven’t found such a person is exactly because of the word “perfect”.

The truth is that there are no perfect people. Neither for you, nor for anyone else.
A verdade é que não há pessoas perfeitas. Nem para você, nem para mais ninguém.
What we should look for is a person whom we admire and love being around, despite their flaws.
O que devemos procurar é uma pessoa que admiramos e com a qual amamos estar, apesar de seus defeitos.
Naturally, we also need to be minimally attracted to the person.
Naturalmente, também precisamos ter o mínimo de atração pela pessoa.
What will help us find a great partner is learning to place the person’s qualities above their flaws and imperfections.
O que nos ajudará a encontrar um ótimo parceiro ou parceira é aprender a colocar as qualidades da pessoa acima de seus defeitos e imperfeições.
The more we accept the fact that they are not perfect, the more they will accept the fact that we are not perfect either.
Quanto mais aceitarmos o fato de que a pessoa não é perfeita, mais ela aceitará o fato de que nós também não somos perfeitos.
