Spencer will share his views on product from a corporate innovation perspective through his role at VSP Global and through his experiences as an entrepreneur. Spencer has firsthand experience both in making products that suck and those that don't. His flavored professional career includes multiple startups, magnetic memory device radiation research, sales (including door-to-door), and currently Program Manager (he dubs “Lead Innovator”) at the innovation arm of VSP Global (“The Shop”). Spencer also sits on the Technology Development Fund Board at NCH and is on the Investment Committee for the SocialVentures group. A few of his personal company products include Scriber (sign-on tool), Spot Light (concussions protocol), and Perchmount (cellphone holder). At “The Shop” he is leading a vision analytics project, low vision recommendation engine, and is a part of the smart glasses team (Level). Spencer is interested in talking about new and emerging tech, ridiculous ideas, family, space, energy, and sports.
