Barbara Byrne and David Roelant share their experiences with Unitarian Universalism, a progressive, humanist religious group.
Unitarian Universalism embraces a variety of traditions and beliefs. Some UU's believe in a supreme being(s); some revere an ineffable divine essence; some affirm only the here and now. Barbara Byrne and David Roelant both came to UU from very different backgrounds. They share how they chose to take part in their congregation, and offer some examples of how they and other UU's work for peace, fair wages, environment, sexual and gender equality, and other social justice issues.
