Description

The wrestling season has officially arrived as the University of Maryland wrestling team opened up practice on October 10. On Episode 17 of the Maryland Mat Chat, head coach Kerry McCoy will break down the first day of practice, analyze the schedule and talk a little bit about the lineup that will be on the mats in College Park this season. Coach McCoy is eyeing several key home duals this season as the Terps welcome a hearty Big Ten schedule as well as non-conference duals against regional rivals and a Valentine's Day Beauty and the Beast Dual. We also break down the new hires to the staff as alum Frank Goodwin has come on board and will work with the Terrapin Wrestling Club while Ganbayar Sanjaa comes back to the east coast after a coaching stint at Oklahoma. Sanjaa, a native of Mongolia, was a two-time Division I All-American at American University in Washington, D.C.
