Mike is President of the Southwestern Oregon Public Safety Association, an organization dedicated to citizens preparedness for man made and natural disasters.  Mike is President of Safer Coastlines, Earthquake and Tsunami Outreach and Education. Mike presents information about preparing for an earthquake and how to survive a tsunami. Mike is a Certified Trainer for CERT where he teaches about Disaster Prepare,dness/ Incident Command System. Mike is the former Community Organizer for Tsunami Outreach Oregon. Mike coordinated the first ever mass evacuation drill held in Coos County. More than 10,000 people participated.
