Shownotes

First hour: A return visit from actor and author James Rosin. Jim’s many books on classic television shows include The Invaders: A Quinn Martin TV Series, a behind-the-scenes look at the classic Quinn Martin series starring Roy Thinnes. The 2017-2018 television season marks the fiftieth anniversary of the final season of The Invaders, while the series remains a cult favorite all over the world. Also in this hour: Ed welcomes back Donelle Dadigan, entertainment historian, preservationist, philanthropist and the founder and president of The Hollywood Museum. Among the exhibits currently on display at the museum is Holy Hollywood History!, which celebrates all aspects of the Batman TV series. Second hour: An encore presentation of our February 2016 interview with Roy Thinnes in which we discuss how Roy came to play David Vincent on The Invaders, his interest in journalism and art, and some of his early TV roles, including Dr. Phil Brewer on General Hospital and Ben Quick on the TV adaptation of The Long, Hot Summer.

Holy Hollywood History! Batman 1966 features original costumes and props from Batman, many of which have not been seen since its original ABC broadcast, including the original George Barris Batmobile; life-size sculptures of Adam West, Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig, Lee Meriwether and Julie Newmar; the black ball bomb prop from the Batman movie; and a host of never before displayed lunch boxes, action figures, drinking cups, board games and other collectibles. The Hollywood Museum is located at 1660 North Highland Ave., at Hollywood Blvd. in the Max Factor Building. Holy Hollywood History! runs through March 17. For tickets and more information, call (323) 464-7776 or go to TheHollywoodMuseum.com.
