Welcome back to the Theme Warriors.
For the month of February (apologies for the late episode) we take a look at four movies from mainstream Hollywood that were remade with a mostly all African-American casts, including the lead roles. While the stories in these movies may be familiar, they definitely manage to put their own unique spin and artistic vision to film. Get down with the Theme Warriors as we discuss Hitman (1972), Black Caesar (1973), Abby (1974) and The Nutty Professor (1996). This time the rant-tastic portion of the show is reserved for a single flick, can you guess which one? We also get an announcement from Jeffery X Martin to conclude the show which not only shakes the very core of this show, but the entire podcasting world.
