Summary

This podcast will focus on how water moves from the soil to the plant leaves.
We’ll discuss the water is attracted to itself and how that magnetic attraction pulls water molecules to be present for photosynthesis. Water has positive and negative charges at each end. This acts like a tiny magnet and allows water to be ‘pulled’ like chains up roots, stems, and leaves. Its important to understand the concept of water being pulled not pumped up into plant parts.
Once you understand this you can begin to be aware of the conditions that lead to that water being harder to pull and ultimately cause drought stress in the plant.
