Sport Unpacked   /     #17 Sport Stadiums and Climate Change

Description

Russell Hoye talks to Dr Greg Dingle (Centre for Sport and Social Impact, La Trobe University) about sport stadiums and their response to climate change. Sport stadiums have a significant stake in climate change, as large organisations they have to cope with risks such as energy consumption, water usage and waste management. Most are coping with these factors adequately and responding for financial reasons, but a few also see it as an issue of corporate responsibility – addressing environmental factors are just the right thing to do. Sport Unpacked is a regular podcast hosted by Russell Hoye, Director of La Trobe Sport. Copyright 2014 La Trobe University, all rights reserved. Contact for permissions.
