Australia’s Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has questioned the Palestinian Authority over whether any of the nearly $44m in aid Australia sends the PA goes to paying subsidies to families of convicted terrorists doing time in Israeli jails or those killed, and has been urged to also inquire about the funding of Palestinian school texts which carry a virulent anti-Israel and anti-peace message.
