In July the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) will congratulate Mr. Valenzano as the recipient of the 2013 UNICO Americanism Award. The national Italian American service organization UNICO takes its name from the Italian word “unico” which means unique. Mr. Valenzano is also a recipient of the 2010 Art of Reporting Award acknowledging his work to increase public awareness and understanding about genetic advancements or advocacy organizations and their impact on real people’s lives.
