Jewelcast: JFTC in your ears   /     Jewelcast, Episode 4.8: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, La Copa

Summary

As a neutral fan, you couldn't have asked for more than a first-round matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and the Vegas Golden Knights. On one side, you have the old guard. The Kings are one of the decade's most decorated teams, with two Stanley Cups and a reputation for being the team no one wants to face in the playoffs, fighting for a return to glory after just one playoff win in the last three seasons. On the other side, you have the new kid on the block. The Golden Knights are making their first playoff appearance, with a Pacific Division title in their inaugural year and a season-long reputation for being the team no one wants to play against at all, fighting to make an already-special campaign into a legendary one. On top of it all? A budding rivalry, bolstered by the knowledge that if you're a fan of the losing team, fans of the winning team are going to be soooo obnoxious after this series. So forgive fans of both teamsĀ if we're nervous. Even though both teams exceeded expectations this season, we're getting greedy. That includes our guest! Danny is theĀ manager of Knights on Ice, SB Nation's blog covering the Vegas Golden Knights, and he'll join us to provide some perspective on the Kings' first-round opponent. Tune in for playoff talk.
