In the second part of my interview with Cary Steeg he tells about his days as a lumberjack up near Ely. There were some wild days back when this area was virgin, old growth pine and the law was far away. Cary's time in the camp straddled the change over from hand tools to chainsaws. The old timers he met still used the old methods and we can get a glimpse of what that life was like through Cary's stories. With song and story, I relate a few other salacious details of that era as well, including the song "Three Little Drops" about the Doyle Brothers and Blackjack Dawson up in Bruno.
