Guest: Cynthia Gyamfi-Bannerman, MD, BSc, MSc About 30% of preterm labor spontaneously resolves and 50% of patients hospitalized for preterm labor actually give birth at term. Clinicians are left with the task to effectively assess women who are at risk for prenatal delivery in order to prevent preterm labor and reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality. In this activity, clinicians will learn practical strategies combining patient history, fetal fibronectin (fFN) levels, and ultrasonography imaging results to assess patient risks for preterm delivery, in order to provide adequate counseling regarding prenatal care and lifestyle changes.
