S.R.O. (formerly The Alist)   /     Sound of Surrender

Summary

It has been described as up-beat rock n’ roll with pop-like chord progressions and mixed with a dash of metal”. This is what creates the melodic-rock sound that is Sound of Surrender. The vocals have also been described as having, limitless range. The combination of these 4 musicians and their constant growth and development from project to project leads many to believe there is a long and bright future ahead for Sound of Surrender. Looking to gain more exposure they managed to get radio play on San Diego’s hit rock station 105.3 as well as 94.9 and 91x. In 2006 they were featured in Synthesis Magazine as one of the top 16 Unsigned Bands. Since Sound of Surrender played the Warped Tour Ernie Ball stage in 2006 the bands popularity has taken on a life of it’s own. They followed that up with an appearance again in 2008 and have generated a buzz large enough to get recognized by both independent and major labels. In 2010 they inked a deal with Legendary Media Group/Bungalo/Universal. After putting out their EP, The Long Road Home in 2008 Sound of Surrender is ready to drop their first single with Legendary Media Group. It is slated for the summer of 2010 and they will be following up with an album later on this year.
