One of our primary objectives is to recreate our history in Southampton County.  To that end, we were able to repurchase 100 Acres of land that once belonged to our ancestors in 2010 and we have worked, among other things to reconstruct a village called Cattashowrock Town on the property.  The structures and fort surrounding the village were documented by William Byrd in a visit he made to the tribe in 1728. Unfortunately, vandals have recently struck our village.  Extensive damage to structures inside (as in the photo) and to the palisades that make up the fort themselves.  A local article can be found here:  http://www.tidewaternews.com/2016/02/12/vandals-damage-indian-fort/
