Anthony Birchak was the reigning MFC bantamweight champion, but is now preparing to make his UFC debut at UFC 177 this Saturday night against Joe Soto on the preliminary card. Chas Skelly is coming off his first UFC victory this past Saturday night against Tom Niinimaki at UFC Fight Night 49. That win evened his UFC record at 1-1, but he’s got little time to savor the win as he is stepping in on short notice to face Sean Soriano at UFC Fight Night 50 on September 5th. Keith Johnson defeated Mike Bronzoulis via third round rear naked choke at Titan FC 29 this past Friday night on the CBS Sports Network. The welterweight was making his Titan FC debut and was very impressive, controlling the fight from the opening bell. Shannon Knapp is preparing for Invicta FC 8 which will take place on September 6th and be headlined by a bout between Atomweight champion Michelle Waterson and Yasuko Tamada. In the co-main event Stephanie Eggink and Katja Kankaanpaa for the strawweight title that was vacated by Carla Esparza who is now competing on TUF 20 for the UFC 115lb. title. This event will mark the debut of Invicta FC on UFC’s Fight pass. As usual, Knapp and matchmaker Julie Kedzie pulled out all the stops as they have stacked the decked for this card.
