MLB announced its second update for the American League All-Star Game voting on Tuesday. Three players from the Boston Red Sox are projected to start (Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Bradley Jr. & David Ortiz), along with a trio of Kansas City Royals (Lorenzo Cain, Eric Hosmer & Salvador Perez), according to the most recent ballot. The fans are doing a terrific job voting in the most deserving players in the AL, with the only snub being Baltimore Orioles' Mark Trumbo (who should start over Cain). Despite my praise for the AL ballot, I argue the fans must do a much better job voting in the most worthy players in the National League.
