Translation
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said when describing the Prophetโs (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pilgrimage: ...and when he approached mount Safa he recited:
โIndeed Al-Safa and Al-Marwah are from the places of worship of Allahโฆโ
โI begin with what Allah began with.โ
โฆso he started with Safa and climbed it until he could see the Kabah, he then faced it and said:
โAllah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.โ
โฆand then he would say the following three times making a supplication (one should make a personal supplication) after each time:
โNone has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, aided His slave and single-handedly defeated the allies.โ
โฆhe (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would repeat this action at Marwah.
