On this episode of Adjust Your Tracking, Joe and Erik discuss two new low budget sci-fi theatrical releases, “10 Cloverfield Lane” and “Creative Control.” We look mainly at how the marketing and budget differences between the two films reveal how much franchising and branding are leading the higher profile film, with its would-be connections to 2008’s “Cloverfield” (perhaps to its detriment), while the smaller movie, “Creative Control,” is another feather in the cap of new big player in town, Amazon Studios.
