With only days to go before thousands of spectators and hundreds of riders descend into North Somerset for the 32nd RHL Weston Beach Race, the excitement is building for what is set to be a spectacle of off-road racing. The whole weekend is stacked with races starting on Saturday at 10am and then continuing on Sunday at 9.30am - the full timetable of races can be viewed below or by clicking this LINK The 3 hour main solo event will kick off at 1:30pm on Sunday with hundreds of bikes screaming their way down the North Somerset coastline in front of thousands of fans lining the entire circuit. This year many of the UK’s best riders will be hunting for glory including British MX1 champion Shaun Simpson onboard the Hitachi KTM 450, Ben and Nathan Watson and the return of beach race legend David Knight who will be riding for Yamaha. The field is stacked with talent, to pick a winner would be near on impossible but you can safely say anyone near the front of the pack at the halfway stage with no misfortune will be a contender for ‘King of Weston.’ This year we have brand new access tunnels for fans entering the centre area of the circuit, the tunnels will be supplied by ‘Weholite’ who are based in Newport. We also have a NEW look double tier VIP glassed suite, which will bring a whole new elevated view for guests and the media area is now situated on the lawn in the Maxxis hospitality unit. Racing starts on Saturday with a full day of track action, starting with the youth races at 10am with the main Quad and sidecar races kicking into action at 2pm with 3 hours of exciting four and three wheel madness. Sunday follows suit with youth racing starting at 9:30am with the main solo race at 1:30pm - a full timetable can be found below. This years event is BIG, thousands of fans and spectators are expected on both days, Weston is an event you need to tick off you must see list, 3 hours of intense and exciting racing from start to finish.
