Description

Now in the 540's BCE it's getting harder to break apart the regions of the world because they are getting more and more connected. But in this episode we can still just talk about Greece and two of its most important and well know cities: Athens and Sparta. In Athens will the third time be a charm? The "tyrant" Pisistratus comes back with mercenaries and invites his enemies for a nice breakfast. Let's see how that turns out! While in Sparta we have the Battle of the 300 Champions. There's going to be some serious PTSD going on here!We will also learn about legendary wrestler Milo of Crotone and his unreal feats of strength, the Olympics, and all the usual banter and insights you get from Fan of History! Please rate us on your favorite podcast app!!This is a podcast by Dan Hörning and Bernie Maopolski. If you like what we do you can support the Fan of History project on https://www.patreon.com/fanofhistoryContact information:http://facebook.com/fanofhistoryhttps://twitter.com/danhorninghttps://www.instagram.com/dan_horning/Music: “Tudor Theme” by urmymuse.Used here under a commercial Creative Commons license.
