Shownotes

Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast.

The Pittsburgh Steelers face the Cleveland Browns, but some think it might be a trap game. Christopher Carter explains why the Steelers aren't taking the Browns lightly after talking with Cam Heyward. The Steelers don't see the Browns as a team they can overlook despite their 2-8 record, and the fact that the Steelers haven't won in Cleveland since 2021 is a sharp reminder that they shouldn't.

Also, Chris breaks down how Russell Wilson must counter the Browns' aggressive defensive plan, including a question to Wilson about when to take shots against the Browns. But comparisons against how Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky played the Browns are good reminders of how Wilson's ability to judge when to take the right shots could be a key factor.

Finally, Chris also talks about how the Steelers have to take advantage of when Jameis Winston gives them chances to create turnovers. He's done so almost more than any quarterback in the last four weeks in the NFL, which suggests big chances for T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick and the Steelers' defense to create turnovers.
