So it turns out Reg didn't really give a shit, and neither would we if we hadn't gone and lost Aji Alese to injury. So what positives can Gav and Chris take from that forgettable fixture? What's the crack? Aye we lost it's terrible and very sad we're obviously devastated... but fear not, it's not a league game so it doesn't count. Is it bad that we'd rather focus on the league? We don't think so. Aleksic got a goal for his troubles which only a few of us will remember admittedly but who else stood out? Did any of our young lads impress? A bad day for Dan Neil in particular, which is rare nowadays, but did he really need to be on the pitch? Enzo Le Fee got a nice reveal at a fairly empty and freezing Stadium after the announcement the night before the game; it looks like we may need a few other faces though. Aji Alese went down and had to be stretchered off the pitch in considerable pain; it's not looking great for the lad and we're gutted for him, so what do we do in the meantime? Last of the summer Wynn; Chris gets wistful and nostalgic about the magic of the FA Cup again but he has good reason to. It's just not the competition it was... All this more! Burnley next!
