Stopped by Lenovo at CES 2025 to see some of the groundbreaking innovations in laptop and display technology. From rollable screens to dual-screen laptops, the company showcased its commitment to creating versatile and user-centric devices.
Rollable Laptops: The Future of Portability
The cool thing about the concept ThinkBook Plus Rollable was it creates a larger screen vertially. This device goes from 14-inches to 16.7 inches with the press of a button, or the wave of the hand.
The screen resolution shifts from 2000×1600 to 2000×2350, making it ideal for multitasking, vertical video viewing, and more. Powered by Intel’s latest Luna Lake Ultra processor, the Rollable comes with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Priced at $3,499, it’s set to launch in the first half of 2025, targeting professionals and creators who demand both functionality and wow factor.
Yoga Book 9i: Dual Screens, Infinite Possibilities
The Yoga Book 9i takes multitasking to the next level with its dual 2.8K OLED panels. These 14-inch displays can operate independently, making it feel like having two laptops in one. The device supports Windows 11 Pro, Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, and AI-enhanced applications, offering a seamless experience for creators and multitaskers alike.
The Yoga Book’s flexibility is enhanced by its convertible design, allowing it to function as a traditional laptop, dual-screen setup, or even a foldable tablet. Included accessories like a folio case, keyboard, and stylus make it a complete productivity package for $2,000, with availability expected by mid-2025.
AI-Enhanced Displays that Follow You
Lenovo introduced a desktop monitor with built-in GPUs for AI compatibility and advanced tracking capabilities. These displays can follow the user’s movements, ensuring an optimized view during presentations or video calls.
Made from sustainable materials like bamboo, these monitors reflect Lenovo’s commitment to eco-friendly design. But if you have to move around, and are presenting on Zoom or Teams, the monitor will follow you so you can see information while staying on camera.
This concept will be out later this year.
Legion Ecosystem: Gaming Elevated
Gamers will be thrilled by Lenovo’s expanded Legion ecosystem, which now integrates all devices through a unified control center called Legion Space. Features like Game Companion and Gameplay Master leverage AI to provide in-game support and auto-generate highlight reels.
Legion Go
Lenovo’s Legion Go handheld gaming device offers Steam OS and Windows versions, and further enriching the lineup with its lightweight design and customizable settings. The system’s buttons in standard gaming setup are solid and responsive upon play.
