Podcast 5: Mobile Pay App Hello and Welcome to BILLION DOLLAR IDEAS LADY PODCAST Every Tuesday, I will introduce a new business idea that can generate billions of dollars per year. Stay tuned weekly for revolutionary ideas! Today’s idea is: Mobil Pay App Presently only Apple Pay is offering the convenience of paying through iphones. A lot of people have paypal accounts and phones that are not iphone 5 or 6. If Visa, MC, Amex were to issue a Universal Vendor Code [UVC] (like Universal Product Code [UPC]) with a small barcode which can be a sticker on pay terminals at retail outlets, then most people with even basic phones that have a camera can activate the app by taking a picture of the UVC barcode or entering a 9 digit UVC to pay a vendor. Advantage: This will allow people with all kinds of mobile instruments the benefit of paying without fishing out their credit cards from their wallets. Most people can leave most of their credit cards at home while travelling. Also people who don’t have credit cards in most 2nd and 3rd world countries will benefit from this system as they can connect the app to their bank account. Profits: A lot of competitive companies can offer coupon codes immediately after a purchase is made. Eg: If someone purchases Nike Sneakers, Adidas coupon code or mobile ad can pop-up in the next few minutes. Or when a purchase is made at a grocery store, after the payment, a coupon for a similar product is offered on the phone for a discount on the next purchase. Or when someone purchases a mobile device, an ad for an accessory such as a phone cover can show up. If there is history of purchasing an item on a regular basis, such as paper towels at the same store with the same payment, then before the next time it is due, a list of things to buy pops up as grocery list for that store. So, the app will generate tons of data, history and marketing ad revenues. This concept is copyrighted but available for sale to a company ready to implement this Billion Dollar Idea..
