Liz heard screams for help with CPR while she was shopping for plants. At first, she thought a doctor or nurse might be in the vicinity to help. Then she realized she was the one who knew CPR and she jumped into action to save the woman’s life. Liz Young is the Youth Market Director for The American Heart Association for the state of Mississippi. She works with superintendents, principals, school nurses, P.E. coaches, parents and students to help make a difference in the fight for heart disease and stroke. She has a goal to help educate all students and school administrators on how to be the best “YOU” you can be … by being HEART HEALTHY! She also works with schools for CPR training and other programs to raise awareness.
