Cody’s Fitness

Cody Sipe, Phd:  Cody Completed his master’s degree in exercise science at Virginia Tech where he specialized in cardiac rehabilitation.  His doctoral studies began at the University of Virginia and finished at Purdue University where he earned a PhD in exercise science.  During his time at Purdue he also served as Director of the renowned A.H. Ismail Center for Health, Exercise and Nutrition.  He is currently Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Research in the physical therapy program at Harding University.  Dr. Sipe’s research interests include the effects of exercise on functional capacity in older subjects with a special emphasis on power training.  His current project, in collaboration with the Reynolds Institute on Aging at the University of Arkansas Medical School, is investigating the relationship between body composition and functional ability in older patients with congestive heart failure.
