Hacker Public Radio   /     HPR4167: Removing another obstacle to recording an HPR show

Description

I have always disliked public speaking, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Although I have recorded HPR episodes in the past I have always been highly dissatisfied with the results - my delivery and the sound of my voice. Text-to-Speech software has improved dramatically in recent years and this provides a solution to my natural reticence to recording shows. In this episode I demonstrate the use of a simple online TTS application in the hope that it will encourage others to contribute a show who might otherwise not do so. Here is a link to the TextMagic website where you can run their TTS software. It is cost-free to use, but I'm not sure if it is FLOSS. Links https://freetools.textmagic.com/text-to-speech
